ROASTED GARLIC

 

QUICK TIPS

Roasted garlic will give the cloves a sweetness while eliminating that dreaded garlic after taste that lingers in the mouth for hours. Roast a few at a time and have them ready to use for all of your favourite dishes.

  1. Heat the oven to 400°F

  2. Trim about 1/4 off the top of each garlic bulb

  3. Place each garlic bulb in a small baking dish and pour the olive oil over top of the garlic bulbs, soaking them

  4. Cover with aluminum foil and bake for 40-50 minutes

  5. Check on them at 40 minutes and if you see the cloves coming up out of the bulb and they are golden brown, then they are done

  6. Remove from the oven and take off the aluminum foil to let cool

  7. Place into a glass container in the fridge for up to 2 weeks to use as needed

  8. Squeeze the bottom of each bulb and the cloves will pop up our of the bulb!
